Representatives of the Hindu National Health Network (HNHN) recently held a constructive and inspiring meeting with the Consul General of India Mrs. Vishakha Yaduvanshi, IFS in Manchester to share the organisation’s vision, mission, achievements, and future aspirations, and to explore opportunities for collaboration and support for initiatives aimed at improving health, wellbeing, professional development, and community engagement.
The Hindu National Health Network, previously known as the Hindu NHS Network, has rapidly developed into a respected national platform bringing together healthcare professionals, academics, researchers, community leaders, and volunteers committed to promoting health, wellbeing, education, leadership, cultural understanding, and service to society.
The HNHN delegation included Professor Rajeev Gupta, Founder and Co-Convenor of HNHN, together with other important Community Leaders including Mr Mamit Agarwal, Ms Chiragi Solanki, Mr Shivalkar, Kuldeep, and other representatives of the organisation.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the vision and mission of HNHN and outlined the organisation’s strategic priorities for the coming years. Discussions covered HNHN’s work in supporting healthcare professionals, promoting health education and preventative healthcare, encouraging research and academic collaboration, developing leadership programmes, improving wellbeing among healthcare staff, and strengthening engagement with communities across the United Kingdom.
The representatives also highlighted HNHN’s growing work in areas including cultural competence in healthcare, reducing health inequalities, supporting international healthcare professionals, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging community health awareness, and creating opportunities for future generations of healthcare leaders.
The Consulate General expressed great appreciation for the significant achievements and contributions made by HNHN since its establishment and recognised the important role that the organisation is playing in supporting healthcare professionals and communities alike. She was particularly pleased with the breadth of activities undertaken by HNHN and the positive impact that the organisation has already made within healthcare and wider society.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to explore future collaboration between the Consulate and HNHN, particularly in relation to health promotion initiatives, educational programmes, community engagement activities, conferences, professional networking events, and projects aimed at improving public health and wellbeing.
The Consul General conveyed her encouragement and support for the future work of HNHN and expressed her willingness to support HNHN activities and events in the years ahead.
Professor Rajeev Gupta thanked the Consul General for her time, encouragement, and support and emphasised the importance of partnership working between healthcare organisations, community groups, educational institutions, and diplomatic representatives in promoting health and wellbeing within society.
