The Hindu National Health Network (HNHN) successfully brought over 60 people for its 5K Walk for Life, combining community yoga, a fun walk and fundraising in support of end-of-life care and running costs.
Thanks to the generosity of participants and supporters, the event reached its fundraising target of £5,000.
Ravi Bhanot MBE, Co-Founder of HNHN, said: “Being a 5K Walk, it seemed natural that our target should be £5,000. The universe worked with us and we achieved this target.”
Jyotsana Patel, one of the organisers, said: “It was great to see so many people take part in community yoga and a fun walk.”
Savitha Kaushal, one of the organisers, added: “If events like this were held up and down the country, it would be a great way to keep healthy whilst doing good.”
HNHN would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered and donated, making the event a memorable success while promoting health, wellbeing and community spirit.
